5 players that could leave Manchester United in January

There are a number of excellent players in Manchester United, but because of the depth of their squad, certain players tend to get overlooked, and players like Jesse Lingard might depart in the January transfer window.

Several players could decide their futures at Manchester United in January.

Manchester United have been far from impressive this season. They trail Chelsea by nine points in the league and are out of the Carabao Cup.

Three quality players were brought in by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the summer, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, and Raphael Varane joining Old Trafford.

That led to several players having to drop out, however.

As Solskjaer urgently seeks to establish a winning recipe, United are still looking for a settled system and XI.

As the Norwegian tries to manage his alternatives efficiently, certain players have continued to be disregarded.

Due to a lack of minutes, players miss out on international competition while their careers seem to be on hold.

Jesse Lingard appears to be one of the men who could leave, with United willing to accept £10 million for a player who was valued at £25 million less than six months ago.

The Englishman isn’t the only one who has been benched despite the fact that he has yet to receive a league start.

Solskjaer appears to have favorites in specific areas, and despite the fact that his team’s records have plummeted, he has not made any changes or given other players a sustained run of games.

We look at five names who may be considering looking for a new club in the New Year.

Donny van de Beek

I’m not sure where to begin with this one. Even though the Dutchman scored on his debut, it has been a disaster from the start.

Internally and among his fans, his persistent omission has raised concerns, both of whom sympathize with him.

Solskjaer has yet to give Van de Beek a start, and it still appears as if he signed him without giving it much thought.

He plays a position similar to Bruno Fernandes and has been glued to the bench, missing out on the Netherlands.

A recent change in agent was most likely prompted by a wish to depart, and his caliber is such that he would still pique interest.

Jesse Lingard

This season, he has yet to start a game for United and has been left out of the England team. Lingard has had a rough couple of months.

He reverted to his greatest form earlier this year when on loan at West Ham, who may want to recruit him permanently in the future.

Solskjaer stated that he will play a “major role” at Old Trafford, although it is unclear what that role will be.

Lingard scored a late winner to beat the Hammers in September, but it didn’t help him climb the pecking order.

His contract expires in the summer, and the team appears to be cutting their losses.

Anthony Martial

Still hasn’t lived up to his early potential, and with so many attacking alternatives, the Frenchman won’t have an unlimited supply of chances.

He hasn’t been able to deliver this season, and with Ronaldo in attack, he won’t be the primary guy he once was.

Martial was linked with a move away from Manchester during the summer, and it appears that he is in need of a fresh start.

A team in his birthplace would undoubtedly be interested in his talents, and at 25, Martial still has plenty of time to reach new heights if he is placed in the proper situation.

Dean Henderson

Henderson needs a playing time

Last season, it appeared as if the England goalie was on his way to becoming United’s No. 1 goalkeeper.

However, David de Gea returned at the end of the season and has proven to be a difficult man to unseat this season.

Henderson has already stated that if possibilities do not present themselves, he may be forced to pursue other options, and that time may have arrived.

He’s out of the England picture, and his progress at United is being stifled by a lack of playing time.

His quality, on the other hand, is well-known, and he would be inundated with offers.
